Hyper-reality is a concept film, which has been created by Keiichi Matsuda. For approximately 6 minutes, the viewer is presented with a futuristic view of how our physical and virtual realities recombined and overlap. With innovative apps, such as Pokemon Go, and the fact that people are spending a phenomenal amount of time on their handheld devices, this augmented reality is enabling people to re-connect to the world around them.
Matsuda's film presents a frightening view of the future, by which we are driven by slogans, logos, and emojis, which compete for our attention on screen. It is almost as if we are living in a computer-generated world. Living in a computer game.
