The Sky Dome

I went to my first ever ice hockey match today to see the Coventry Blaze v the Belfast Giants. It was a great experience, although I spent more time thinking about it being a possible location for my third P & P assignment! I really liked how the fans were able to get close to the action with the protection of a Perspex screen. There was also the added problem of capturing the ice hockey players without a tripod. In order to use a fast shutter speed I used an ISO of 1600. I had tried it at ISO 3200, but with having to use a zoom lens I was concerned that there would be too much noise.
Using the 'continuous shooting' mode enabled me to select the most satisfying images.
